We’ve had a lot of severe storms with damaging lightening as well as damaging winds. In 2011, North Carolina was one of the states hit by the tornado outbreak in April. In August of 2011, we were hit by Hurricane Irene. So far this year, we have had severe storms with frequent cloud to ground lightening, damaging winds that have taken out parts of an airport, and in some areas, tornadoes.
