I must admit that oftentimes my family only goes shopping when we really need to, and only for the bare necessities. We only indulge in a splurge maybe once in a quarter when I’ve saved up enough from my online work. Any shopping that’s out of budget must only come out from my earnings.
Since splurging is a luxury for us, I make sure that we get the best deals and discount for whatever it is we want to buy. I invest my time on finding the best deals, promos and discounts that I can to maximize our savings.
Why is it an investment? Scouring the internet takes a lot of time and comparing one site’s deals to another takes time and patience. Although I have shortlisted a number of sites that offer the best deals, I still invest my time working on it whenever I try to find the perfect deals. In the end, when we’ve bought what we want for the best price possible, I know my investment is worth it because all the spare money we saved can be allocated for other things.

Travelling is one thing we’re really saving up for next year as a birthday present for our little Missy. Since she’s old enough to appreciate everything around her, we’d love to be able to take her to exciting places like Disneyland in Hong Kong. I know she’ll love it because she’s such a Mickey Mouse/Disney fan and getting the best bargain for our travel is of utmost importance.
