Have you ever bought a promo from an online groupon or deal site? With the increasing number of deal sites in the internet, it is almost impossible not to have bought at least one of their offers.
Personally, I have purchased more than 20 deals from different sites and most of them are for food offers. I choose to spend my online-earned money on food because I love spending my weekends with my family, together with my mom and my sister, trying out new food somewhere. I have also bought a couple of items for gifts, mostly for myself and some for family members. Online shopping is one thing I have learned to appreciate daily because aside from being able to find great stuff online, I usually get them way cheaper than in stores and it gets delivered to me directly. Wouldn’t anyone be glad to escape those long queues at checkout counters?
But as I try to find the latest deals, I am quick to compare our local groupon sites to coupon sites in other countries such as the US. Couponcodes4u.com for example, offer a wide array of products that have percentages off as well as codes that one can use for discounts on single or combined items or can also be used towards shipping. Our local groupon sites do not have discount codes, they usually offer the product itself or a package (e.g. overnight stay at a hotel or a trip somewhere) at a discounted rate.
As a mom who tries to find ways to save, I really hope we can also have such sites for coupons as well. Yes, it may be an issue of having more local online retail stores, but I know it’s not impossible to start one now. Groupon sites are a big help but it entails buying the product itself. Coupons are different, they can be used towards a specific product, or as discount towards combined products, or even to cut some expense off shipping. I can’t wait for the time when we can use coupons here too and eventually use coupon binders. For sure, more moms like me will save a lot from our everyday spending which we can allocate for food or other matters.

i do understand what are your points and even my mom is like that… i’m very proud of you as a mom, hehehe and i myself will prefer to have a discount in the products… but i still don’t have enough knowledge about the coupon thing and i haven’t try making some online shop since i don’t know what to purchase.. ^_^ but maybe sometimes i will have soon… nice post anyways..
Yep, we moms try to save whatever we can on anything we buy don’t we? I learned that from my mom too! Actually, we do have those coupons here too but mostly by select stores like Mercury Drug or in malls. Do you use those coupons at the bottom of Mercury Drug calendars? Sometimes it says you save up to P20 or get extra stuff when you buy a specific product
i haven’t experienced any kind of coupon thing.hehe… but my mom usually buy a much cheaper things, during sales.. ^_^ we still don’t have mercury drugs here in our province, it is still under construction.. ^_^
Ah, as soon as the Mercury Drugs are up there, try to get their free calendars around November or December. You can save quite a bit from some vitamins and over to counter medicines if you use those coupons

I like coupons we can save so much from there, I always look out if there is good deal for grab too. When comes to online shopping I do consider they have shipping include or not. If not I need to pay more. One time I share with my sis to buy skin care products as buy two sets can combine shipping.
If I remember correctly, I’ve purchased two coupons from Buyanihan. I was really happy that I got those coupons.
