When you first got pregnant, did you wish for a boy or a girl? Some say it doesn't really matter as long as it's a healthy baby, and I agree. But when I was pregnant for the first time, a lot of people were wishing for a girl just because it would be more fun.
Having a baby girl for your first baby is like having a baby doll, people would say. It would be exciting to dress her up in ribbons and laces, and in splashing colors and various styles. Unlike with having a baby boy, immediately the baby and the parents are said to be limited to boy colors and neutral tones. Blues, browns, blacks, greens and yellow make up most of the colors that one can use for the baby.
We wanted to suppress knowing what our baby's gender was but at 28 weeks, we saw it during one of our ultrasound sessions. Beginning then, we went into a shopping frenzy of "girly" things and I must admit, it was indeed fun to shop especially since there were so many girls designer clothes from Childsplay available for purchase.
Until now we're still enjoying dolling her up. I know it won't last long because she'll have her own preferences soon. But we really did enjoy it and I must say, it is truly fun having a baby girl. I'm hoping we'll have a boy next, so we'll see.

I also secretly wished for a girl but now I know a boy is lots of fun too!! I am having the time of my life seeing Sean grow... yung nga lang wala ako doll heheheh
