Be Smart. Be Wise. Be Frugal.

by admin on April 24, 2012

Frugality is a characteristic that is common to almost all people worldwide. Since the economic recession, more and more people are finding way to minimize or cut-down expenses as well as find other alternatives to earn.

Some people completely remove certain things from their budget and just stick with the bare necessities while some try to find the best deals possible by finding both online and hard copies of coupons or discounts. Whichever method you prefer, it will always be a matter of preference, of being smart in that particular moment.

Isolating items that are needs rather than wants is a good way to minimize expenses. It comes with it though, the hard realization that you can’t have everything you want. You feel that you always have to give something up to make things work. It works for some, especially with those that have a high degree of discipline.

For others, thinking of money saving coupon ideas are the next best thing. They don’t splurge as much but they save from what they buy by exhausting coupons that can benefit them. Whatever is saved from coupons are allocated to other necessities which makes it easier for them to cope with everything.  This works for a lot of people who try to manage their expenses because they feel that they can still have a little extra even though money is barely enough.  The savings from coupons enable them to buy something that is not in their “need” list.

Whatever method one chooses, we must admit that being frugal is being smart during these times.  We adjust to everything around us – increasing price of commodities, cut-down salary, or sometimes even being retrenched.  The most important thing is that we make the best out of it and we outsmart the situation.  We spend but we save more.  We become so much wiser.

Do you have any ideas on how to save or how to get the best deals?  Please do share them and it’ll make everyone else one step smarter.

I used to shop a lot but nowadays I only shop for things that I need. I also no longer bring my credit card when I go to the mall.

I mostly relay on SALES hehe and i usually love buy food that i can fill my stomach rather than buying one pesos curls because it can sure give you big time money to spent but you still be hungry. i’m not a prof about saving things or anything but being a student it’s better to learn it, to be frugal because it might help our parents in spending to much money from us. we all know that college life is never been easy and financial support is a must. ^_^

I have always been a sale and clearance girl! I very rarely buy anything if it’s not on sale! In doing that I have snagged some pretty good deals when it comes to clothing, shoes and home goods! I used to use credit a lot but now if I don’t have the cash for it, I don’t need it. It’s working out pretty good if I say so myself :)
